REAGLE PLAYERS 2008 NEW YORK THEATRE WEEKEND

   November 7, 8, and 9, 2008

April 21, 2008

 Dear New Yorkers,

Our 2008 New York Theatre Weekend is filling up very quickly, no doubt due to the huge popularity and rave reviews of the smash hit Broadway shows featured on this year’s trip.

What the critics have said about this years shows…

Jersey Boys  “The biggest hit on Broadway!  Contagious, spectacular fun. I haven’t been to a Broadway show in years where, after a number, the audience stood up and cheered so much that the cast had to almost get out of character and acknowledge it.  Everyone in the audience had the time of their life. The only word to describe this is “alive” and that’s how you’re going to feel when you see it.

                                                                                               Joan Hamburg   WOR-AM Radio

Billy Elliot  “So exhilarating, the audience didn’t want it to end.  A dazzling 40-carat gem of a show!”

                                                                                                 Daily Mail

South Pacific  “I know we’re not supposed to expect perfection in this imperfect world, but I’m darned if I can find one flaw in this production.”
                                                                                               Ben Brantley, New York Times

Gypsy  “LuPone’s twin showstoppers at the close of each act cement her performance as one for the history books!”

                                                                                                Gordon Cox, Variety

We’ll also be seeing the new Radio City Christmas Spectacular as a group this year.  In the recent past, this show has been an option, but it is part of the package this year.   The Christmas Spectacular was revised in 2007, and the show has never been better.

Ticket prices to Broadway shows have increased a great deal over the past year.  The average ticket price is now $120.00 (before taxes and fees) for orchestra and front mezzanine seats, so regrettably, the cost of the trip will have to be raised accordingly.  We will once again stay in newly renovated beautiful Hilton hotels: The Hilton Garden Inn and at the Hampton Inn.  The hotels have also increased their prices significantly this year, and for a while I wasn’t sure we could secure the reservations at all.  The bus company, because of the increase in gas prices, have also raised their prices.  That said, the price of the trip this year is $1,200.00 per person double occupancy, with a $250.00 supplement for those wanting a single room.

Enrollment Form Payment Coupons   Please print your email address clearly on the enrollment form.  This year, we’d like to send you information and updates via email.  If you don’t use email, simply leave the space blank and we will get the information to you another way.

Sincerely,
